Many people, when they think of the Anglo Saxons, will think of Alfred The Great and understandably so. But there were other great Anglo Saxon rulers who played an important role in English history, including the some of the earliest kings to convert to Christianity like Edwin of Northumbria and Aethelbert II of Kent. In the 8th century, Offa of Mercia reigned for nearly 40 years and is famous now for his Dyke. In this thread, we will chat about these overlooked rulers.
